I discovered this past weekend that New Yorkers like brunch. A lot. So much so, that many people that live in New York City take the time to prep where they are going to go, make reservations and go as far as to plan every food they order. Growing up, brunch was more reserved for Easter and Christmas. As I got older and hit the legal age to order alcohol, brunch became a way to have champagne in the afternoon. Here in New York, brunch seems to be a normal part of weekend life, as opposed to just be reserved for very special occasions.
I knew that I would be going to mass after said brunch but I wanted to keep my outfit from looking overly conservative, I wore my vintage Dior suit jacket over a crop top. This way I could have the best of both worlds, I simply just buttoned the blazer up to go to church!
Here’s a picture of the cathedral where I attend mass. St. Patricks on 5th ave.
