There are so many blog posts and magazine articles about things that brides are TIRED of hearing but there are also things that Bride’s adore hearing! Here are my top ten things that Brides love hearing!
“I am SO happy for you!!” Obvious but it still feels amazing to revel in your joy with a friend or someone you’ve never met.
“You and _____ make such a wonderful couple. I know how much you love each other.” (This is what the entire wedding should be about, how much you truly love one another. I love it when people remind me they see it too!)
“How is work/school/sport?” (It might sound strange but sometimes I just don’t want to talk about my wedding. I know. Totally nuts. It can be easy to forget that there is more to life than weddings when you’re about to have one. I always appreciate when anyone asks how the REST of my life is coming along!)
“What can I do to help?” (Being a bride is extremely overwhelming at times, and even though she probably won’t take up your offer to help it feels good to know someone cares enough to ask. <3 )
“Would you like me to come to your _____ appointment with you?” (This is one of my favourite things anyone can say lately because there are so many meetings, appointments, fittings etc. and especially when family isn’t close, having friends around for support means the world!)
“Where are you registered?” 😉 (Self explanatory)
“I can’t wait to be part of your special day!”
“I love your choice of ______! It’s so beautiful and unique!” (Even though a bride is confident in her personal touches for her wedding, it still feelings ah-mazing when someone else recognizes all the extra effort you put in!)
“I know of a great app/site/person that can do ____ for less!” (Everyone knows how incredibly expensive weddings are/can be, and if someone finds a great deal and wants to share their tips and tricks with you- it’s even better!)
“I wish and pray for a long life of happiness together”. (This is the thing that can bring a tear to my eye no matter who says it. Giving your well wishes to a couple who is about to embark on a new journey together is truly the greatest gift you can ever give a couple.) <3

It’s the holiday season! The month of December is essentially my occasion Super Bowl. As many of you already know I am engaged, and my fiancé Brendan is Jewish. That means we celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah. On top of that December 20th is my dad’s birthday, and my mom’s birthday is the very next day on the 21st. Brendan’s birthday is the 28th!!! And of course New Year’s. SO with all that madness (and this great little holiday outfit)- I give you my top tips for the holiday season! View Full Post
We got all our engagement photos back and I love all of them. I opted to do a full engagement photo session. A lot of people find this to be a strange thing to do, but in my opinion you only get married once, make the most of it!
Of course I never go small, I went huge! With a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier dress I got from renttherunway.com, this gown was beautiful and so full. I had a blast twirling around in it. Bren chose his sapphire blue Zara suit. It was actually not on purpose that I matched my shoes with his suit. In fact, I didn’t even notice until much later. <3
Fact: your high heels will in fact get stuck in between planks of wood in a bridge and cause you to be completely immobile while dozens of runners and bikers appear out of nowhere. Hilarity after your escape will ensue.
I found that the less I thought about the camera being there, the more comfortable I felt. Bren and I normally don’t show any PDA in public, besides the occasional peck on the cheek when leaving and holding hands. It was a little hard to warm up- going zero to sixty.
If you go on the bridge to take pictures, the wonderful people of NYC will cheer you on and shout many beautiful congratulations your way, making you feel like a total glamours celebrity. We both loved the good attention. <3
At the very end of the day, it’s not about how big your dress was or how beautiful the pictures came out (but they were both magnificent), it’s being able to look back and remember how elated you both felt. I’m beyond thrilled to be getting married and I know that no matter where I go, if I have Bren, I have everything.
The day that Brendan proposed, he told me to make sure I wore something nice. I didn’t know we were going to a palace but I was excited to see what I could pull together to go to one. Bren has in the past told me to wear something nice specifically because he knew I would want pictures. I really took more time than usual to pick this outfit.
When traveling it’s essential to pack things you can wear more than once, such as a coat, a hat, sunglasses. Many tourists think they have to sacrifice style for comfort. This is not the case! I wore a white cotton off the shoulder top, warm wool coat, pants and chiffon pants.
I was so pleased to see that my outfit seemed to even mimic the colors of the flowers in the garden.
France was surprisingly chilly but once the sun peeked out it was finally warm enough to go without a jacket.
I felt really good in this outfit and I even felt glamorous. This might be one of my favorite looks ever. The best part was that none of it was planned!
