The moment when you stop letting others opinions and fear dictate how you feel; that’s when you start living your best life. xx

Snapshot in Paris. Shopping bags and white roses from the street. Swoon

While I was in France, I went to the Louvre. It’s another item I successfully marked off of my bucket list. I know a lot of people dream of visiting this museum, however travelling to France can be expensive for some people. One of my friends’ parents recently visited, they used a company like Key Equity Release in order to fund their trip against the value of their home. They had decided that since they are getting older, they should start making the most out of their lives by visiting all the places on their bucket list. This made me want to go and see more things around the world, where better to start than the Louvre Museum! This museum is so astounding and breathtaking, and HUGE. It’s obvious to see why it’s so popular and attracts so many tourists!

I wore a simple, comfortable outfit that I could walk long distances in, and that would also be warm. Museums filled with marble and tile tend to be very cold.

My best tips for navigating and enjoying the Louvre is to go very early. I went as soon as it opened and there was still a twenty minute wait to get inside. They have crowd control so that the museum doesn’t become a hazard, but I can assure you it’s still extremely crowded.

Bring water bottles. Any time an Uber or hotel offers you sealed bottled water, take it, it will cost even more than usual to buy it at such a crowded place like the Louvre.

Most importantly, have fun, looking at art doesn’t have to be boring, look for pieces that call your attention and study them. You might find really awesome “easter eggs” in the paintings and find deeper meaning in them.

Here is how crowded it was when we first arrived. Crazy!

Note: The Mona Lisa is stunning in person but it’s VERY difficult to get anywhere it. If you want to get a photo with her, you have to go around the edges of the crowd and squish yourself in.

Added side note: it’s worth it.

What do you think of my Easter nails? I love the little bunny with lashes!

I love getting my nails done. I feel like it’s one of those simple pleasures in life that a woman should indulge in. Nothing is more cheerful to me than a beautiful mani. And even if it’s not a special occasion, go get a mani! I know it’s cheaper to do at home but whenever I do my nails it looks like a Jackson Pollock painting. Lol

I hope you’re having a great day!
