New York Fashion Week is one of the most beautiful times of the year. All the women, fashion industry or not- dress to impress. It’s not uncommon to see the women going to work or going to shows covered head to toe in Chanel, Givenchy, or another fashion designer brand.

I found that the most important thing to keep in mind during NYFW is to dress comfortably. Running around through the city can make a girl tired, and disheveled! I opted out of short skirts this time around and instead went for layers with pants, and long skirts that were easy to walk in.

This was by far my favourite outfit I wore while in Paris. I wore this the night Brendan proposed to me, we tried to go to a fancy high rise for dinner but they didn’t accept reservations and we were starving. We ended up going to a small diner that served Italian food and we were extremely over dressed.

Although we didn’t go to a super fancy dinner like most couples do when they get engaged, I love that we went to a diner in great clothes because it was so much more relaxed and I still felt like a million bucks.

I’m finally starting to get around the city easier. Today I roamed around the wholesale jewelry markets and ended up buying wholesale sterling silver jewelry. I learned some interesting things.

1. You can barter at some costume jewlery stores

2. If you want you can buy in bulk and use a discount

3. The cheapest place in the city don’t take card, they only take cash!

My favorite thing today (because I can name a ton) about NYC is how diverse the shopping is. If you can think it, it’s available for purchase somewhere here.

Ferragamo shoes for today. Matchy-matchy can be fun.

These earrings I scored at Marshall’s for $14! They can be worn two ways, the underside of the earring can be removed and you can wear just the studs. Two pair in one!

I’ve been working out really hard for the last couple of months because I really wanted to feel confident when I wear something sheer. I am so thrilled that working out is actually paying off and I feel awesome!
