I know it sounds incredibly biased but I really really have the best mom in the world. My mother is the sweetest, most generous, and all around best person in my life. This year for her birthday (a little early) I was able to help be a part of a surprise party her best friend Tara threw her! I snuck into town on December 13th.. View Full Post

What should you wear to go out tonight? Well, first off, where are you going? Are you going out with friends or having dinner with your family?

Ask yourself before you even look in your closet the following things:

Am I going somewhere upscale (and fancy)?

Is this a casual gathering?

Will my grandmother be there? If so, should I really wear a bandage dress?

It’s a beautiful day in Manhattan and today I went out and did what most New Yorkers do on Sunday afternoon. I went to brunch. While I know this is a topic I’ve already discussed in some detail I have a few new things to add.

Going to brunch is an occasion (life is an occasion isn’t it?) and that means it’s time to get dressed up. Pick comfortable clothing that you won’t feel embarrassed to be seen in. I tend to run into someone the minute I’m not put together.

Another way you can tie a look together is tossing on a hat. It’s one of my favourite ways to get dressed up fast.

*Brunch tip- when you finally pick a place to go to brunch, pay attention to what everyone else is ordering. If you see a common plate that most people are getting, order it too! It’s popular for a reason.

When most people think of Paris, they think of the Eiffel Tower.

Although Paris has so much more to offer than just the Eiffel Tower, it was on my bucket list of things to see and do while in Paris.

The architecture structure of the tower is actually really magnificent. Even though it was really early (9am!) I was shocked to see just how many people were there.

My favourite part of visiting the Eiffel Tower was definitely the carousel. It was a tri-level carousel. You could see the entire Eiffel Tower from the carousel and afterwards I went for a small snack, strawberries, coffee, and a croissant.
